If you don’t have a text editor, web browsers that include log files can also be accessed. With the word processing app installed, you can access a log file by pressing the log button. Windows will usually open a log file by double-clicking on it, regardless of how you double-click. A plain text log file is most likely to be recorded, so any text editor will be able to open it. Once it is installed, you can use the “tail” command to view log files. To install Cygwin, go to the Cygwin website and download the installer. It includes a command-line interface that allows you to view and manipulate files on a Linux machine. Cygwin is a Linux-like environment for Windows. But what happens when you need to view Linux logs on a Windows machine? Fortunately, there are a few different ways to do this. Most people are familiar with Windows and many are familiar with Linux.
